We have 3 cats, 2 females and 1 male. My daughter found them and brought them home several months ago. One was found at my MIL's house. She found the other 2 in a box on the side of the road. I've been saving to have them all spayed and neutered. The male was first because hubby was so mad at him. He had started spraying hubby's truck. That cat had complications and his surgery cost more than expected. In the meantime one of the females wound up pregnant and had her babies in the garage 3 weeks ago. Yesterday morning I went out to feed the cats and the mama had moved them. DS and I started looking for them and guess what else we found? The other female had 3 kittens underneath the porch. She never even looked fat. They are the same size as the other kitties. We put all of the kittens and both moms in dd's playhouse. They are now sharing them. I just went out there, and the kitties are crawling back and forth between the mamas nursing from both of them. I have 4 of the first litter promised. Now I have to find homes for even more. But they are soooooo cute. The moms are difinitely going to the vet in 3 more weeks. |

Too bad you live so far away. My son is looking for a little kitten and wants to take our cat home with him. But that will have to happen over my dead body. I am sure you will find good homes for them though. Else Tiptoe through the tulips...

Bama, I have just found out today that we have a kitten living somewhere near my office. The night time computer operators told me today that every time they turn the outside lights on, the kitten comes out of it’s hiding place and comes to the light (they can see it all on the camera). I feel so sorry for it, I will have to hunt it down and bring it home. I already have two cats, my babies, but I can’t bear the thought of that little orphan out there with no home. |

Else, I wish I could send you a kitten (or 2 or 3...) MissMinx, that sounds like me. I can't stand to see an orphaned animal. I want to rescue too many of them. My cats have moved the babies to a different place 4 times now. The one that had 5 babies always moves 5. It doesn't seem to matter to her which 5. At least she can count, haha. So far she's always moved at least one of the other cat's kittens and left one of her own. Each time she does it, before the day is over the other mama moves the rest of them to the same place. She's insisting they all stay together. She's turned out to be the best mama. She'll let all 8 of them try to nurse her at the same time. Lately my dd doesn't need a TV. The cats are entertaining enough. She runs in from school to search for the latest place for the nursery. |

Awww...what good mamas they are! I grew up with a lot of cats. The family used to joke that we lived on a cat farm! At one time we had 3 cats give birth to litters within 1 week. My mother had them all spayed after that, thank goodness. |
