I totally finished my DD's sundress.... I am sooooo impressed, (bragging a little)..... I had read the View wrong, and thought it had an elastic waist, (how hard is that?)... Except when i got going and read the instructions (after all the cutting... ) it said the skirt was PLEATED!!! acckkkk... So after a minor freeky-fitty, and a large, thick cup of coffee, i buckled down and did it... It was way easier than I expected and in some ways I prefered it to a gathered waist. DD loves both sundresses, and wants another, but i am making a dress for me first... AND after having to hold my instruction manuel for the button holes, my hubby has agreed to us using our Save-On-More points to get a Janome... Whatta guy!!!! Have more groceries to buy before I have enough points, but it is $125 + 26,000 pts for a $700 machine... Gotta go, cut up my pattern..... Sue.. |

to a birthday party for a friend of mine, and when i told my friends mom I had made it she was shocked, said "no way", and flipped up the hem to see my perfectly turned seams... (she is an excellent sewer and this means I have passed the test, lol) |

Wow, you must have been just so proud of yourself. And you deserve it too. So cool. I have to smile at seamstresses. We all inspect each other's work and we are always the first to point out our own mistakes. Why??? MaryW

Mary - I am never first to point out my own mistakes. I have a daughter to do that. Dorothy |
