well tomorrow i am going to my hairdresser and having my " 40th birthday midlife crisis haircut (about 3 months early)" AND it happens to my 15th wedding anniversary :bluesmile i have had the same haircut for, must be 20 years (wow that even looks bad in print, lol.) i have had the same hair dresser for 12 years so she knows me quite well, we are the same age even, she is older by a month:bg: i bug her that her mid life crisis is that she is getting married this year. i have told her the only thing i want is to go a little staighter (i have had perms for 20 years as well) and that i must be able to swim in chlorine pools and that i don't want to spend a half hour every morning doing my hair. so the rest is in her hands, i trust her completely so i am not even nervous.

so hopefuly it won't be to much of a shock and my husband will know he came to the right house:whacky: let the adventure begin..... :nervous:

I find a new hairstyle really dangerous - I probably change mine ever year or so. I'm getting twitchy now. The problem comes when you come out of the hairdressers, and into the clothes shop ( just something to go with the new image..)the shoe shop )( well nothing else will go with the new skirt) the make up counter ( have to update the whole thing really..) ahhhh therapy!
My most extreme was when I went from long down the back to short all over. It was just after we had got married and my husband kept sleeping on my hair - so off it came. He was traumatised, one minute a new wife like Rapunzel the next Freddie Mercury. He gets the twitches now when I go to the hairdressers. tee hee.
Have fun.
love and kisses, Jan

I'll never forget the drastic hair-cut I got that scared my two toddlers half to death. They started crying the minute I walked in the door. And then the one I did myself when they picked up head lice at swim class - I had hair down to my rear, and cut it off to my shoulders after I shampooed. When I was sure the little critters were gone, I had it ALL cut off, to about 3 inches all over! Nobody recognized me.

What really hurts is when it all starts growing in gray. But it has given me incentive to finally be a red-head - and I love the new color! Nothing like new hair to feel like a new person! Have fun, Carman!

well i love my new hair cut, it is almost bob like, it can go off the either side and be tucked behind my ears or not, we colored the roots again to get the grey out (yep the roots are quite grey- ) and i have these lovely blonde streaks throughout-haven't had those in 15 years, and then they were natural, lol. now i just need to remind my hubby that when he hits 50 and goes into his mid life mode that he doesn't need to spend $30,000 on a car:bg: hubby called twice now, he is anticipating this as much as i did, lol.

i will get my first reactions tonight as i have my quilt guild meeting tonight, should have done this years ago, but it took till now to be ready, pretty sad i know, lol.

Can't beat a new style
I hit half centuary last month and went in to revamp the hair-do
my stylist treated me for free 'cause it was my birthday:bday: Which was really very sweet and unexpected but very much appreciated.
My hair looked good too:bg:
