I've just bought, secondhand, a 936 Huskylock serger. Wow, it does everything. I've been using a basic 3/4 thread serger for the past couple of years...the new one does 2 thread stuff and the coverstitch. I'm not getting classes or instruction though because it was a private sale. I'm working through the manual. and if anyone has this machine and has any hints or tips I'd appreciate it. Hi Mary, he sharpened them just fine...we are going to order the lower knife cause it could still stand some improvement, but he had no problems with the upper knife ($26 saving!). So I finished the samples of those cat blankets...the fellow I'd be working for agreed to $0.45 per blanket which works out okay for me. If he likes what I've done, there are 500 to do!! Of course I'll use my old serger for that, hope it doesn't blow up from all the exercise Penny http://community.webshots.com/user/pennypins

Congratulations Penny! I know that you will enjoy your new baby. You may check with your Viking dealer and have them order a manual or video for you. It will make learning so much easier. Happy Stitching~ Marty It takes one moment to change a life.
