I bought a pattern for pajammas cut the fabric out and sergered most of it together when it came to the crotch area I noticed that the darts and seams wouldn't match up . I checked out my pattern and the darts wouldn't match up to begin with . Now I have to get rid of the material that I cut up and start new .
What would you do ?

Could you please use different words and explain it again.. I do not understand what you are trying to describe.. What kind of darts do you have in a crotch area??? You are not talking about the fact that you have to ease the back seam near the crotch area, because the front and back from the notch to the crotch do not match are you?? This is normal and has to be eased always.. But I do not know about any darts in this area??

The pattern just says match seams and notches . Stitch center seam, matching inside seam and these don't match in the crutch area . I will try and ease the seam but won't that leave puckers in the crutch area like a sleave ??
Thanks

The back crotch is lower than the front. In the crotch area you sew the back to the back and the front to the front and then sew up from one leg to the other or....you sew the back side seam to the front side seam and the back leg to the front leg under the crotch area (making a tube that will go on one leg. Then, you turn one of the legs inside out and one right side out and put the legs inside each other, matching the front crotch and the back crotch and sew around the circle. It sounds to me like you are sewing the back crotch to the front crotch and that won't match.
