for those of you who have the Baby lock sergers with the jet air threading, have you used yarns and other heavier decorative threads in your baby lock serger? and if so, was it a problem threading??? MO life is too short, not to explore

handles them just fine...have used only a few...and if you think that you can't get it through, just tie it off on a previoulsly threaded regular thread (does this make sense???) just before the jet-threader, drop the foot and sew away...it will bring it out to the back of the foot just perfectly... |

This is one thing I have to experiment with, different threads in my serger.

Mamadus, Hi neighbor!!!!!! Which side of the city do you live on? I live just outside of Akron. Do you have any fabric stores, besides JoAnn's, that are good to shop at? |

hey sewhappie...I'm on the west side of Cleveland, just inside lorain county.... There are a couple of decent fabric shoppes in Lakewood... one is Kathy's sewing center, another is the Virginia Marti Store, associated with the Virginia Marti School of Design... I'm sure there are others, but those are two I know about... MO life is too short, not to explore

Glad to see that there is something else besides "The Big Chain"!!!! Could you send me the directions to both. I would be using 77 to 480 to 71. I enjoy going to different shops in the area. The last one was "The Cutting Room" on the east side on Mayfield Rd. Bought $400+ dollars worth of fabric to make my dress for my DD's wedding in June!!!!!! |
