I've recently started sewing. I alredy have a singer sewing machine but I want ot buy a serger to complement it. I live in the UK (London) can anyone give me advice on a good quality serger that is likely to last and that has as many features as possible (I am prepared to spend up to $700 if it's going to last a long time). I've been told that pfaff and singer are the best makes but I am not sure the people in the singer shop were being impartial... So any advice on any specific models that would be suitable will be much appreciated. Many thanks, Dina |

I too am hoping for a special delivery for my birthday - if you choose to buy online (it's cheaper) may I recomend http://www.jaycotts.co.uk/ I bought my Jamome sewing machine from them last year - impeccable service and excellent prices. The top of the range item they have at the moment is the Bernina 1300DC £699 - but I have no idea as to what you look for - I'm not likely to spend more than £250 personally - there are plenty of threads concerening what to look for onthis site - dig around-you'll probably find the imformation that you are looking for. love and kisses, Jan
