Hi, it's been awhile since I posted but have a question that I've wanted to ask for a long time.

I have never used the elastic foot on my serger and was wondering if anyone had some tips to help me get the right amount of stretch I need for different applications.

For example if I want a very tight gather say for around the back of a swimsuit botton how much do I tighten the screw on the foot?

If I want a very loose or almost no gather say to help stabalize a neckline on a knit how much do I tighten it?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Karen, are you talking about tightening the screw on the foot? There are different types of elastic feet. I would just practice a bit with it and see how much it gathers up with the turning of the screw. It's supposed to do it evenly. Good luck with it.
