He didn't like the casserole,
And he didn't like my cake.
My biscuits were too hard...
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn't perk the coffee right.
He didn't like the stew.
I didn't mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
As I was looking for a clue.
Then I turned around and smacked him...
Like his Mother used to do.

I think if I did things like my MIL my husband would leave. She had 13 children & never had room for them to all eat together so she would make a big pot of something in the morning and they would eat as they got hungry. They didn't know how to sit down & eat as a family till us wifes taught them how. His older sisters still do it that way even though they only have a few children each.

:whacky: My mother-in-law never cleaned her house...(and thats the truth) she told me once that she didn't feel like she'd accomplished anything, so she didn't bother to clean. (luckily the kids,4 of'em, all kept their rooms clean and when I was there I cleaned the rest of the house...I couldn't stand it....) I think my husband would send me to the mental ward if I did things like his mother....( and I think I'd happily go... :bg: )
