Today I got all my kids and most of the grandkids. My granddaughter that was the baby before the new babies came along will be 11 in May. She came to me on Tuesday and told me she wanted me to help her think of an april fools joke she could tell everyone. This morning she called me to see if I came up with anything and I did so here is the way it went. She and I told everyone I was pregnant. We really had them all going. When we told the person April Fool we told them to tell the next person and to tell that person if you don't believe me ask Mama or MawMaw herself and they did they called me and I confirmed it, well we got everyone in the family. They are still reeling tonight about it. My husband was in on the joke so he would play along. I'm 53 years old for those that don't know me so it was a hugh joke on my kids and their spouses. Me and my Kelli Mae got them all!!!!! :nah: :nah: :nah:

I almost never do an April Fool's Day joke. Yesterday, I didn't even know it was April 1st until about 4pm! I picked up my husband from the airport shortly after, so it was our first evening face to face in a few days. I sat down right in his lap, looked him in the eys and told him I was thinking about having my boobs done. I had him really off guard. Poor guy. He didn't know what to say. He was just so puzzled, and wondering where it was coming from. "What??? What???" I didn't keep him that way for long. I let out such a long hard laugh, and there he sat, head still spinning, wondering when my hard laugh would finally end and let him come back to earth.

My two favourite japes were when I was working in a plant pathology department - they had a termite unit and one day (March) in the downstairs labs I noticed a lot of insects flying around. I memorised the shape of these and went up to one of the entymologists describing the insect and that they were all over the corridor downstairs. Before I had finished speaking she flew out of her door yelling "Termites", and there was a stampede for the floor below by all the scientists who began slapping the walls, doors anything to kill the escaping termites. (They had been placed in jars with very small breathing holes and had pupated and emerged smaller that the larvae and escaped through the breather holes).... this was too good an opportunity to miss and on April the first I stuck about 30 cut out pictures of beetles (mostly ladybirds) over the walls and corridors of the downstairs labs . Then casually went into the same entymologists lab and said "There are insects all over the corrisor downstairs" I had not finished speaking before, once more, she ran out of the room again screaming "termites" and leading the general exodus for the stair well. I exited rapidly in the other direction to place rubber gloves filled with agar ( a type of jelly made from seaweed upon which you grow bacteria/fungi) into the men's urinals and leg it to another part of the building before it was safe to return.

tee hee

next term we are planning an epidemic!
