Good morning/evening everyone! Could anyone please, please, please, help me with information? I would like to buy a new serger. I used to own one very old 25-lb heavy metal serger. It does not do any of those fancy narrow rolled hems and so on. So, now is the time for a new machine. On a web site I saw White 2000ATS and Juki MO-644D. They have similar functions and accesories, and go for the same price $299. I am looking for reliability, stitch quality and minimum tension adjustments (like everyone I guess). Also, one of repair stores offered me used Hobbylock (it says "made for Pfaff" on its side). I think it is Hobbylock 737. It is 5-thread, and it looks working fine. They sell it for $189. Is it a fish to catch, or is it a hook to take? Maybe someone has an experience with one of those sergers. Your opinion would help me a lot! Thank you very much. |

I have a Pfaff sewing machine and a Pfaff serger and for that price I'd go for it. I find my Pfaffs are workhorses and the cheapest Hobbylock in the sales brochure I have is $729 list! Dorothy |

Is $729 for 4-thread? That is a very good argument towards buying that serger! My only concern is that it is old, and it is used, and I do not know if something is wrong with it or not yet... You know when you try it in store it works well, but then at home something comes up... I am not sure how old is 737 model. I could not find it on Internet. Thank you very much Dorothy! |

Does the shop warranty their work? Pfaffs are tough machines. Dorothy |
