Hi! I'm new to serging so am thinking of getting an used serger. Came accross a Baby Lock 302 but no manual. Does anyone know if Baby Lock 302 serger has differential feed?
Thanks for your help!

I can't remember the 302 but the model number suggests that it is a 3 spool without differential feed.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom

Hi Tom. That sounds logical. But the picture seems to show 4 threads. Wierd...

I've seen a couple on Ebay. It appears to be a 3/4 thread, and both descriptions said that it had differential feed.

There was a discussion here about threading the 302. Perhaps if you post your question there, you will get better information.

Good luck!

Thanks for the pointers. I missed out on the chance to buy that serger. But now that I found this great web site, I will post question sooner next time.

I am still debating whether to get a new basic serger or an used baby lock. Guess this leaves me more time to do my research instead of rushing into a purchase. All the better for me!
