Hello all, I sure am glad to have found this forum! I just acquired a Kenmore 385.1564180 with no manual. Since I have no experience with sergers at all, I think I did well to get it threaded and demo it. Seems to work fine. However, I have googled it and come up dry. I don't even know if it has differential feed or what. I know it is a 3/4; that's about it. If anyone has any good links for a total noob to get me started, I'd sure appreciate it. Also, if you have any info particular to the Kenmore 385, it'd be a godsend. Thanks a lot. I have high hopes of being able to contribute at least something useful to the forum in the near future. Sears should have a manual for your Kenmore. I believe your serger is made by Janome and is identical to one of the Janome sergers and the manual for the Janome serger that is similar to yours should also work for you. Usually 385 in the model number of Kenmore machines means made by Janome..the rest of the number is the model of the machine or serger. My Kenmore sewing machine also begins with the numbers 385. My sewing machine is model 19365..but the entire number is 385.19365991. If looking for a manual you might want to use your model number being the numbers after the 385. |
