A university student goes home for the holidays and warns her parents that she's bringing her new boyfriend along. The guy is a dwarf and so the student asks her parents to please make sure her little six year old sister understands. The mother calls the little girl one side and says to her: "Baby your sister is coming home this weekend and her new boyfriend is coming as well. He looks different to us, but you cant ask him any questions and you must not stare at him." The little sister understands totally and agrees to be on her best behaviour. The student and her boyfriend arrive home and the little one can hardly contain her excitement. The family sit down to dinner and Little Sister avoids eye contact with the boyfriend and remains silent throughout the meal. When the main course is finished, the parents and big sister carry all the dirty plates out to the kitchen and go prepare desert, and Little Sis is left alone with the boyfriend. An uncomfortable silence ensues but eventually the little girl cannot contain her excitement any longer and she asks the boyfriend..... "Do you know Snow White?" There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate." -Charles Dickens

Let's hope the guy had a sense of humor! Cute. Reminds me of the time I was working in the small mom and pop grocery store in our town. I was working with a girl named April. She was about 25 at the time and is American Indian. This was several years ago back in the mid 90's when the movie Pocahontas came out. One Sunday a Dad comes in with his daughter who is about 6 or so. Her face was so bright and expectant. The Dad said to me, "We hear that Pocahontas works here at this store. The lady at the hardware store next door told us." I knew exactly what he meant but decided to clear it with April first since she could be a little proud and difficult sometimes. I also knew though that she loved kids. Luckily she was delighted and played it up and made that little girl's day. I'm sure she'll never forget it. And actually April did look an awful lot like the Disney character. I've always enjoyed that story and was glad I was a part of it. Lennie |

Yeah, children are so sweet! A few years ago i was working in a supermarket. It was back when i wore braces on my teeth, proper train tracks, i hated them. But one day when i was working, this woman came in with her little girl, and when she saw my teeth she said to her mother " why does that girl have jewellery on her teeth?". I thought it was so cute!!! There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate." -Charles Dickens

One time my parents had my nephew who was about 3 years old on an outing and tried to stop him from staring at a dark skinned person. The woman came over and asked my nephew if he wanted to lick her skin. She proceeded to tell my parents that she had been a nanny and used to find her charges whispering outside the bathroom door until one day they asked her if she was made of chocolate, and since then she has realized why young children were interested in her.

Don't you just love it? We've got our own United Nations going on here. We're also just proving that kids are the same the world over, aren't they? Lennie |

LMAO !!! to all of you... May I lick your skin..actually being an adult and a chocoholic I've often wondered if a person with chocolate colored skin tasted that way. ( in my kid fantasy head, not my adult reality one..) Chrys
