Bernina Bernette Funlock 004 How to Roll Hem
Hi Everyone,
I am new to serging, purchased a bernina bernette funlock 004 with no accessories and no manual. I want to know how to do roll hem w/o cutting the fabric and what to set the tension to?

If there is any other advice I can be given I appreciate it.

Thanks,
DRGRL21

This is the link to get the part number for the manual. I'll attempt this...but I don't know if you can do a 2 thread hem (very thin) or a three or what....each of the machines is just a little different. If you can do a 2 thread rolled hem, you'll use the left needle and you'll have an adapter that looks like a little hat with a wire. It goes on top of the lower looper rod (I think that is the lower looper...it has a place for it so you can sort of tell..the wire fits in the place where the thread would go for that. It disables that looper.

The three thread rolled hem is right needle and both loopers. I've only used 3 of the Bernina sergers but on those you could slide the fork adjustment to make the thread wider or narrow. You'll want it narrow with a narrow cut.
