Hi
I am a newbie to a serger. I have a Kenmore 81595 and up until about a week ago it was working wonderful. My thread broke and even following the instructions from the manual is really difficult to get it threaded right. My tension is off and stitches are loose. I have been battling on how to re-thread it and correct the tensions so I can get back to practicing again.
I really like this serger. I have the ABC of Serging book and try to search the net for information.
this forum is awesome!!

Have you checked your needle? Maybe it's bent? I have a White serger and the threading diagram is printed inside the cover. I'm not familiar with your brand. When in doubt, whip out the manual or if that doesn't help, search the internet for a help board on your machine brand.

About the only advice is to follow the instruction book or diagram printed inside the looper cover. Just thread one thread at a time and remember that the lower looper must be threaded before the needles are.
Have fun or don't do it, Tom
