A man went into a pet store and said that he wanted to buy an unusual pet - something so different that nobody else would have one. He turned down rare snakes, exotic birds,spotted lizards etc. Finally in desperation the store man said "how about a centipede?" Ah! "The very thing "said the man- "I'll take it." A tiny fine-mesh cage was produced and the centipede inserted and the man trotted off home with his new pet. He then decided to go out for a drink before dinner and thinking the centipede might be lonely he said " I'm going out for a drink, do you want to come ?" No reply. A little louder he said "I'm going to the bar for a drink, would you like to come?" Still no answer. The man then put his mouth against the wire mesh and yelled "do you want to come with me for a drink"? This time a tiny voice answered "I heard you the first time - I'm putting on my ****ing shoes!" Esp. since my daughter literally DOES want me to buy her a centipede, one of those giant ones too. Blech.
