My mom bought a Huskylock 936 and I have it at my house while she's on vacation, molesting as often as I can. I am slowly, slowly learning the ropes on this thing.

My son has a shirt with an excellent "ladder" effect on the hems and seams. I was thinking flatlock but the same effect also performs like a cover stitch / hem stitch.

I have a great Serger book (http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Serger-Answer-Creative-Machine/dp/0801986451) but it's mostly a troubleshooting guide.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
